One of the biggest growing species of Paphiopedilum as its name implies. Discovered almost 20 years ago in Indonesia. The flowers are very distinctive with curled petals, a character trait which it passes onto its progeny. It is a large growing plant which can get up to a leaf span of over 1 metre. A good flowering stem can often carry 5 - 6 elegant flowers
